The Costa del Sol, where our luxury Spanish apartment is located welcomes more than 2
million visitors a year and has been inhabited by men for many thousands of years, but don't
let that fool you to think that the natural beauty of the area is ruined.
In fact there are many stunning places to visit in the Costa del Sol because of many
conquerors in the past. Such as the Alcazaba, a Moorish fortification located near Málaga
which dates back to the 8th century! There is also the Gibralfaro Castle which is located on
an adjoining hill to the Alcazaba and while you are in Málaga you could pay a visit to the
great Cathedral, which took nearly 200 years to complete!
There are also many excursions available in the Costa del Sol for those looking to make the
most of their visit. For the more adventurous visitors you can take a 9 mile trip across the
Straits of Gibraltar to visit Morocco, or you can go inland to Ronda, Seville or Granada.
There are many more locations in the Costa del Sol that shouldn't go unmissed, and Puerto
Banus is one of them. Peurto Banus is home to one of the largest street markets on the Costa
del Sol and is located right next to the Bull Ring, offering you another experience on the same
day.
For those looking for more of a relaxed holiday there are many high quality golf
courses in the Costa Del Sol, some with dedicated complexes for golf enthusiasts.
The Costa del Sol is also the most developed part of the coast on the Mediterranean
Sea, which is warm and safe. Many of the towns also have modernised promenades
for you to take a leisurely walk or cycle on.
